Barnes & Pledger, Inc.
was formed out of a common desire to help hospitals improve
their patient care and reduce their operating costs by lowering
their reliance on traveler and agency nurses. By applying
best practices from other industries and applications, we
believe we have created a unique alternative in recruiting
professional nurses.
Our founder, Karen G. Barnes,
has over 30 years of experience working as a nurse executive.
She is known for building strong clinical practices, and
one of the most important steps in that process is increasing
the number of permanent professional staff nurses. The other
members of Barnes & Pledger, Inc. have a variety of backgrounds
and experience from other industries and acumen. This combination
of skills and backgrounds allows us to apply creative ideas
to the way recruiting can be done. While we use some proven
recruiting techniques, we are not limited by the way "things
are usually done" in the industry. Included in our services
is a very detailed and specific market research process
to pinpoint where the most desirable nurse candidates are
located throughout the US and abroad.
We focus only on high volume
nurse search and approach staff nurses much as we would
executives, treating the candidates as valued professionals.
We go the extra mile in helping to remove barriers faced
during the relocation process. We specialize in finding
nurses in other parts of the country, freeing up the internal
recruiting staff to focus on the local market. We always
strive to do what is best for our client, which includes
minimizing the time requirements of client personnel. It
requires a great deal of time and care to conduct recruiting
in this manner, but it well worth it for both our client
and the nurses we help settle into their new professional
homes.
